A man who has failed to show up for court appearances may have run out of luck.

After Raymond Lalomilo‘s hearing Friday on a charge of driving under the influence, he was returned to the Territorial Correctional Facility to ensure that he keeps his next court date.

Assistant Public Defender Kate Hannehar requested that her client be released on his own recognizance noting that Lalomilo has two children.

Prosecutor Assistant Attorney General Woodrow Pengelly pointed that the government is concerned with the defendant’s inability to show up for scheduled hearings, not once but twice.

Now he’s been arrested for a more serious offense.

This factor was also considered by District Court Judge Pro Tem Gwen Langkilde and a bond of $300 was set for the defendant;s release to await his trial.

Lalomilo is to appear in court again on July 20, If he can post bail, he must remain a law abiding citizen and appear for scheduled hearings.
