
Talofa Airways is confident that their new service between the two Samoa and Tonga will fulfill a need that has existed for a long time,
The airline started flights to Nukualofa Tonga last Saturday Samoa time.
Six passengers and three airline staff were on the first flight with General Manager Toleafoa Jeffrey Hunter in the chief pilot seat.
Toleafoa said before taking to the skies that they are happy with the response to their Tonga flights.

Toleafoa said the Tonga route was always part of their plans from the start but they had decided to see how the competitive Pago route would pan out.
He said the inter Samoa route is now stable.

Talofa Air will fly four times a week to Nukualofa, two flights will originate from Fagalii Airport and two will begin from Pago Pago International Airport.
With four flights a week scheduled between the two Samoas and Tonga, Toleafoa Hunter and his staff at Samoa Airways are confident they’ll be able to maintain the inaugural flight passenger numbers as they navigate into the future.
