Our AYFS Matais are proving to be a force to be reckoned with in San Diego.
In a stunning upset, the AYFS Matai’s defeated Nevada’s Del Sol Wolverines 42 to 0.
Notable offensive scorers were Jamu Tanielu, Tagiilima Matautia, Al Tanoa, Falefatu Faamaoni, Tuala Fa’atonu, AJ Ga’opo’a and Ben Tauvae.
A strong defensive effort helped the shutout scoring thanks to ten turnovers from Tui Chadwick, Justin Logologo, Presley So’oto and Al Tanoa. America Samoa will play San Diego United today (Thursday) at
2, get a bye on Friday and finish play against San Diego’s Island Warriors on Saturday.
The team returns home next Friday.
