Fathers get extra special treatment this Sunday, Fathers Day.

Though not as big as Mothers Day as far as spending goes, this Sunday, fathers will be showered with gifts and a meal fit for a king.

In the absence of Governor Lolo Moliga who is off island, Acting Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga issued a Fathers Day message honoring honorable fathers everywhere.

Fathers who are committed to providing unconditional love and support for their families.

Fathers who teach their children right from wrong and how to be self-sufficient and fathers who push their children to be the best they can.

Lemanu also paid tribute to fathers who work their hardest to provide a better future for their children.

He said, “We remember fathers who have passed on and have left their treasured lessons of life and love.”

Lemanu, a single father of three sons said, “While no father is perfect, we are grateful for this day for all our fathers who strive to be the best they can at this most important calling.”
