The American Samoa Environmental Protection (ASEPA) officially launched their “I Keep It Clean” music video last week.

The “I Keep It Clean” video is a vehicle to further promote ASEPA’s Keep American Samoa Beautiful (KASB) initiative which was officially launched in 2013.

Tumau Lokeni Iese, Manager of the Environmental Awareness & Education Division of the ASEPA explains since KASB was launched, a total of 44 adopters and organizations including families, youth groups and other organizations have joined in the campaign to keep the territory litter free and beautiful.

More than 1,000 volunteers have been involved in the effort to keep American Samoa litter free.

Lokeni Iese says the video was the result of a collaborative effort of EPA Director Ameko Pato, herself and their very own rapper, Jordan Fanene with the assistance of Samuel Sunia of the Arts Council.

The 5 minute music video produced by Tulaga Whitcombe of Whitcombe Media features some of the groups who have been active in the KASB campaign.

“I keep it clean” promotes an effort to start cleanliness from our homes and to just keep it clean for the sake of everyone.

The video is already on youtube!
