Man Enters Plea Deal in Burglary & Touching Case

Loimata Mika pleaded guilty today to second degree burglary in connection with an incident last year in Aua.

The defendant faced charges of  first degree burglary, 3rd degree assault and trespassing but in a plea deal today he pled guilty to the reduced charge of 2nd degree burglary and the other charges were dismissed.

Before Chief Justice Michael Kruse and  Judges Muasau Tofili and Faamausili Pomele, the 24 year old admitted that his behavior was sinful.

Mika was accused of  unlawfully entering  a home in Aua, went into a girl’s bedroom and touched her while she was sleeping.

The court accepted the plea agreement and set sentencing on August 4.

Mika could face up to 7 years imprisonment or fined $5,000 or both.
