The assessment is to determine if he is fit to stand trial.

The motion by the government in the case of Saufo’i Tusiga was accepted by District Court Judge Fiti Sunia.

The defendant has been in the custody of the hospital.

During his hearing this morning, Judge Sunia explained to Tusiga’s father that his son is sick and needs to be evaluated and assessed on the mental state of his mind.
