A group of over 70 from one of Samoa ‘s prestigious private schools, Robert Louis Stevenson, is visiting the territory this week during their school break.

Principal, Ms Fiapia Devoe, is leading Grade 7 students, teachers and parents who arrived yesterday and are staying at the Tradewinds Hotel.

Students were oohing and aahing during a demonstration of The Globe at the Tauese Pita Sunia Ocean Center when KHJ News caught up with them this morning .

The visitors are also taking a walking tour of Fagatogo and taking in the sights on the east and west end of the island. They will also spend a morning at Matafao Elementary School.

School Principal Devoe says it’s important for the students to see this part of the Samoa island group and being here gives the students much more than what they can learn from books.
