To President Trump with love

Members of the local chapter of an interdenominational womens prayer group, Aglow International, have been asked to write post cards addressed to President Donald Trump to simply let him know that, “we are praying for him.”

Rachel Tilo Le’iato, whose mother is the founding President of the American Samoa Women’s Aglow, Mrs. Fa’avaina Tilo has been spearheading the initiative.

And Aglow American Samoa is treating the request with urgency.

They’re aiming to send postcards to the White House before March 15th.

Aglow President, Maota Young received a letter from the Aglow International President and CEO, Jane Hansen Hoyt, explaining the Ides of March, a plot to overwhelm the elected President with hate messages opposing his administration.

Mrs. Le’iato said the local chapter has received the letter and while it is sent through the Women’s Aglow, she feels that it is the responsibility of all Christians to stand together to destroy the “schemes of the devil.”

And members are jumping on the bandwagon fast.

In the short time since they’ve received the request to send postcards of love and hope to the president, they have sent off 40 post cards from American Samoa as of yesterday.

Many have responded positively and want to be part of the campaign of love for the president. Some teachers have students writing post cards.

With only a few more flights from American Samoa before the March 15th deadline, Le’iato is encouraging those who want to join not to wait but to send their postcards to the White House now.

The move is based on the Bible teachings that prayers be offered for those in authority.

The intention is to dilute the effects of the hate plan.

President/CEO of the Aglow International said she wants President Trump to know that despite opposition against the new administration, “he has a worldwide army that is supporting him in prayer.”

She asks that everyone lay aside their personal and political views and join together for the good of the nation by “countering the hate with grace and love.”

Post cards can be sent to:

President Donald J. Trump.
