Hawaiian Air begins its special Wednesday flight for the holidays next week.
In bound flights are nearly fully booked while out bound flights are light at this stage, according to Station Manager Tuli Fruean.
He says the two flights from Honolulu this week are full with students returning home to spend the holidays with their families,.
The three inbound flights next week are also fairly full and the chances of getting a spare seat are not very good.
The special Wednesday flights will continue to January 4,
Fruean says they are flying the Tafuna High School basketball team to a basketball camp in Hawaii next week.
The group will be returning home in time for Christmas.
Then the following week, Hawaiian will be flying football and volleyball teams participating in the 2nd annual JPS Classic in Honolulu in the second week of January.
Fruean advises passengers to be aware of the flight closing time which is 10;30 pm.
He said some travelers were left behind because they arrived at the counter late.
