Miss Fiji Wins Crown, Miss Am Samoa 1st Runner Up

Miss Fiji – Anne Christine Dunne was the judges’ choice to be crowned  as the 2016 2017 Miss Pacific Islands, last night in Apia.

Dunne, 24, is a law graduate of the University of the South Pacific,. She was born in Fiji but was raised in the US, until she finished high school then returned home.

Our very own Antonina Lilomaiava just missed the crown, settling for first runner up , the best result Miss AS sarong
a contestant from American Samoa has achieved in many years.

2nd runner up was Miss Solomon Islands, Samoa was 3rd runner up and Miss Cook islands was 4th runner up.

In the individual categories:

Miss American Samoa won best Sarong and National Tourism Award.

Miss Fiji won best traditional wear and best interview,.

Miss Tonga was judged the most photogenic.

Miss Solomon Islands captured best talent

Miss Samoa won Miss Personality

Miss Nauru won Miss Internet.
