A man who was under surveillance by police for some time under suspicion that he was selling drugs, was arrested yesterday.
The individual, who lives on the hill behind the police station in Fagatogo, was suspected of selling crystal methamphetamine.
KHJ News learned yesterday that police conducted a raid of the man’s home Monday and collected evidence supporting their suspicions that he was selling ice.
The man said to be in his 40’s will appear in District Court this morning at which time his identity will be disclosed.
Also on the crime scene, Customs intercepted a package which contained marijuana at the Post Office last week.
Customs Chief Moetului Fuiava Sipili says marijuana was found hidden in pairs of socks inside the postal package,
One of the customs canine agent sniffed out the cannabis which Moetului said was of not of a large quantity.
An individual who came to the Post Office to claim the package was turned over to police for questioning about the marijuana.
