Donald Trump’s Campaign Chairman in American Samoa, John Raynar says he looks forward to working with President elect Donald Trump’s transition team insuring items pertaining to the territories are addressed.

In a statement released today, Raynar said he’s grateful to be a part of Trump’s  historic election, and thanks the President-elect for his confidence in him to work with the Republican Party of American Samoa in delivering 100% of the delegates to help secure the nomination and eventually the presidency.

Earlier this year, Mr. Trump expressed concern about the territories and how they are often swept under the rug when determining federal policy.

He spoke on having  a special adviser to keep the President abreast on issues concerning the territories.

Important matters like healthcare, education and acknowledging American Samoa’s veterans .

Raynar said the President will no longer be kept in the dark on these issues.

He said too often in previous administrations, American Samoa has been ignored.

In March, Mr Trump reached out to all the territories and pledged to address these problems by appointing a Territory and Commonwealth Advisory Committee, or TCAC, consisting of representatives from American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Raynar says he looks forward to working with Mr. Trump’s transition team insuring that these items are addressed and our territories and those who gave their lives protecting them will no longer go unnoticed during a Donald Trump Presidency.

Donald Trump announced Raynar, who anchors the Samoan Sunrise Show on 93 KHJ, as his honorary Chairman in American Samoa in March.

Trump has appeared on the Sunrise Show, a number of times throughout the campaign.
