A man appeared in District Court this morning for allegedly wreaking havoc on private property.

The defendant Fa’atafuna Esene denied the charges of property damage in the third degree and pleaded not guilty.

Police reports say the defendant got into a dispute with his family, got mad and grabbed a chainsaw, revved it up and sliced through the door of their house.

Nearby neighbors who heard the ruckus called the substation in Tafuna.
