Wave for Jesus Draws Medium Crowd

It was not as full as the political campaign waves, but the first Campaign for Jesus hosted by the Women’s Aglow American Samoa had a good turnout nonetheless for a Saturday morning in the Bay Area.

Several people who did not know about the activity and were on their way for their Saturday morning errands just made a stop and joined the wave.

This included Lt. Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga and an assistant who were on their way for a meeting and stopped when they saw women and children lining both sides of the road from the turn off to the EOB in Utulei to the Samoana gymnasium.

One of the organizers who talked with the Lt. Governor quoted Lemanu saying when he passed by that morning and saw a sign saying “wave and honk for Jesus,” he was moved by the Spirit so he stopped and joined the crowd of Jesus lovers.Wave for Jesus

Manu’a Senator Laolagi Vaeo and wife Betty stood alongside the Lt. Governor and waved for Jesus.

Before the wave started, Rev. Elder Dr. Si’ulagi Solomona welcomed the crowd and said the people of American Samoa need to humble themselves before the Lord for such a time we’re in, and also be equipped to detect the tactics and schemes of the devil that cause disunity and troubles within a community.

Rev. Elder AndreJesus is coming soonw Smith and his wife Lagi Smith a member of the Australia Women’s Aglow and who are pastors in Australia stayed behind for the wave for Jesus after attending a family faalavelave.

An employee of ASPA was among those who didn’t know about the wave but joined in when they saw the crowd with their signs at Utulei.

He called several of his grown children to come down to Utulei and he said it was a blessing for his family to participate in the event.

At the end of the wave, Co-Founder of the Womens Aglow American Samoa, 85-year old Mrs Fa’avaina Tilo thanked everyone who participated, and others who were unable to come but offered their prayers.

She also acknowledged the officers of the Women’s Aglow American Samoa for organizing the event and each cell group in the territory.

She urged them to stay focused as prayer warriors interceding for the people, the leaders and the government of Tutuila and Manu’a.
