A report on the fish market at Fagatogo was presented at the Western Pacific Fishery Management Council meeting in Honolulu last week.
The market, which was funded by the Council, has suffered several setbacks since it was opened three years ago.
It is currently closed.
Nate Ilaoa, the Council staff member in American Samoa, said a local businessman has been selected to operate the fish market.
