asba-lolo-iuni

Governor Lolo Moliga sees a need for public education concerning the territory’s political status and different options for the future.

He says this is one of the tasks given to the Office of Political Status, Constitutional Review and Federal Relations.

The US Department of Interior awarded ASG a grant of $500,000 to fund the office which is headed by Tapaau dr. Daniel Aga, and carry out public education

Governor Lolo said the youth are the targeted audience for the public education program on the territory’s political status and different forms of government for the future.

He made the comment in response to a question at the American Samoa Bar Association Forum.

The candidates for governor were asked, “What is your plan for American Samoa’s future political status and why?”

This is part of Govenror Lolo’s response.
