World Shakeout Day will unite the world in an exercise on what to do when an earthquake strikes.
American Samoa has been participating in the international activity for the past few years with the Department of Homeland Security/TEMCO as the lead agency.
Faletoa Ulufale says American Samoa had 20,000 people participating in last year’s Shakeout exercise.
October 20 is when the 2016 drill takes place and Ulufale is asking individuals, families, schools and organizations who plan to take part to sign online at shakeout.org/American Samoa .
