Free Clinics for Dogs and Cats Next Week

The health of our animal population will get attention with free village clinics happening next week.

Local non profit group, Alofa mo Meaola, the Veterinary Division of the Department of Agriculture and a US-based animal welfare organization called Animal Balance, are teaming up to offer the free clinics.

Mona King who heads Alofa Mo Meaola says a team of 21 veterinary volunteers are arriving Monday to take care of our dogs and cats.

Mona King encourages residents to license their dogs which costs $5 at the Agriculture Department. Dogs which are licensed will receive a free collar at the clinics

Please call 252-5366 to schedule surgery or assistance with picking up your pet for surgery, and also to make donations for hosting the visiting team and for the clinics .
