Attention business owners! The Department of Commerce reminds you license renewal for existing businesses for the new year begins October 1st.

Existing licenses expire December 31, 2016.

Failure to have a current business license by January 30, 2017 will subject your business to prosecution and you would be forced to close your operation.

If you renew your business licenses after January 30, you will be subject to additional fees.

DOC informs the public that they will be conduction regular and unannounced on site inspections of all businesses in the new year.

Business owners are advised to post their 2017 business license certificate in a conspicuous area on their premises at all times.

DOC will accept receipt as proof of payment , in the event the Revenue Office hasn’t issued a new business license certificate.

To avoid any disruptions to your operation DOC advises that you start early on renewing your business license and not wait till the last minute.
