A man has pled guilty to assaulting his wife after she found out he was sending messages to other women on Facebook.
When police arrived at the couple’s home in Iliili they saw a bruise on the woman’s eye.
The victim told police her husband punched her eye the night before because she confronted him regarding other females he was talking to on FaceBook messenger.
She found out he had been drinking alcohol and could smell the odor from his breath.
Court filings say the couple argued in the bedroom and the defendant became angry and punched her on her right eye.
The woman said that her husband continued to hit her as she tried to leave their bedrooom.
She eventually was able to free herself from him and went to a store where she waited till he fell asleep.
She returned to their home around 3 in the morning. and locked herself and her young children in the bedroom.
Police arrested the defendant and took him into custody.
The victim requested that the defendant be barred from making any contact with her at home and at work.
