The stage has been set and the 5 contestants are ready to take the lime light at the Lee Auditorium tonight to see who will be crowned as the next Miss American Samoa.
So who will it be?
The contestants once again are:
- Miss Sliding Rock Luava’asa’atia Aprilyn Esera,
- Miss Island Independent Distributor Fellen Kelemete,
- Miss SABB Pago Pago, Antonina Lilomaiava,
- Miss SM Sewing Shop Janet Paleiupu Fa’afo’i and
- Miss Tess Sewing Shop Taisamasamaoletuimanu’a Punipuao To’atelegese.
The five contestants had their pre-pageant interviews yesterday where they expressed their views and answered questions on their platform topics.
This is the first judged portion of the contest.
- Contestant #1 Miss Fa’afo’i spoke on the issue of Women Empowerment.
- Contestant #2, Miss Esera talked about Education.
- Contestant #3, Miss Kelemete’s platform is tourism.
- Contestant #4, Miss Lilomaiava chose Environment and
- Contestant #5, Miss To’atelegese presented on Health.
Reigning Miss American Samoa Suluga Tuliau said the contestants did very well in expressing their thoughts about their given platforms.
For tonight, doors to the Lee Auditorium will be open at 6:00PM for ticket holders.
Those who are buying tickets at the door will be charged $25 per head.
Corporate tables are being sold at $600.
As of 4:00 pm today, KVZK-TV was unable to confirm if the pageant will be aired live as it has been in previous years.
In Samoa, 25 year old Fiji born Priscilla Paleagaese Olano was crowned last night as the new Miss Samoa 2016-2017.
