If you’re planning to be in the vicinity of Satala, Atuu, StarKist Samoa is getting the word out about their annual evacuation drill happening this Friday and Saturday.
The drills will be conducted at different times to prepare employees working the canneries three shifts.
On Thursday, August 25 there’ll be a drill at 8:00 am and another at 6 pm.
The drill for August 26 is at 4:00 am.
This exercise is being coordinated with ASG first responders such as Police, Fire and EMS, to test and train the cannery’s emergency response preparations.
Traffic will be limited during the drills for about 10 to 15 minutes for both eastbound and westbound lanes.
