The lt governor ‘s speech also touched on projects to be financed with the American Samoa Economic Development Authority bonds, such as the government charter bank set to open September 30,  relocation of the fuel tanks at the airport which the administration says would allow the release of $40 million in FAA funding to upgrade the airport, and purchase of customs scanners which would not only increase revenue collections but also keep out illegal drugs, and weapons.

Lemanu made a statement which appears to dispute concerns raised by the Faoa Sanitoa camp regarding the repayment of the ASEDA bonds.
