American Samoa’s first athlete to compete in the Rio Olympics was Ben Waterhouse. 
Yesterday he went up against an opponent from Sri Lanka in the men 3 kg in judo.
President of the American Samoa National Olympic Committee, Victor Langkilde, reports that Waterhouse lost 1-0.
