
Mum’s the word on the anticipated buyout of BlueSky Samoa by a Fijian company.
The Chairman of Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Ltd (A.T.H), Ajith Kodagoda, the Fijian company planning to buy Bluesky Samoa is remaining tight lipped about the negotiations.
When the Fiji Times contacted Mr. Kodagoda, he said he could not disclose any information on the dealing. “I am afraid I can’t disclose any information as I am bound by confidentiality agreements,” Mr. Kodagoda said.
Last week, KHJ News sent questions to Blue Sky CEO and President Aoe’e Adolfo Montenegro however he has not responded.
Bluesky Samoa has confirmed plans by its parent company, Amper SA, to sell its South Pacific business to a Fijian company.
In a statement Bluesky Samoa’s chief commercial officer Sanjeewa Perera confirmed that Amper and ATH have started the negotiations.
A statement that BlueSky released last week said, Bluesky’s parent company Amper SA released a statement on Wednesday 29th June, 2016, announcing it has signed a non-binding letter of intent to divest its South Pacific holdings to Fijian group, Amalgamated Telecom Holdings (ATH).”
