Olympic Day Had Something for Every One

The American Samoa National Olympic Committee’s Olympic Day  on Saturday had something for everyone regardless of age, size and ethnicity.

The event kicked off at the Veterans Memorial Stadium with a 5K run, that had close to 150 participants.

First place went to Patrick McEntire, 2nd was Falaniko and 3rd went to John Raynar.

Then it was non stop sports action with all sporting associations that make up ASNOC demonstrating their sports.

ASNOC Chairman Ed Imo was pleased with the turnout of the various sports associations and the public.

Olympic Day wrapped up with the 2016 National Prep Football League Championship Game between the Mustangs and Assassins.

The Mustangs remained undefeated, and became the 1st National Prep Football League Champions under the American Samoa American Football Federation.

Final Score: Mustangs 28 – Assassins 6
