Lots of Action at Suiga Ula Next Week

Fashion, tuna, phones, food, drink, handicrafts , tattooing, money and media are some of the products and services that will be on display in the five day Flag Day Trade Fair and Farm Fair which kicks off Monday at Suiga ula o le Atuvasa.

As of yesterday 39 vendors, from big names like the canneries, and established clothing stores and restaurant to home based, ventures and organizations that produce handicrafts and fashions, had registered for the Trade Fair.

The Department of Commerce, American Samoa Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce are coordinating the trade part while the Department of Agriculture is planning the Farm Fair.

Deputy Director of the Visitors Bureau, Vaitoa Hans Langkilde said ths is an opportunity for local businesses to market their goods and services.

A good number of those exhibiting are also regular vendors for cruise ships.

The fair will be similar to the Joint Samoa Trade Fair that was held prior to Flag Day last year.

Farmers are also expected to go all out with their agricultural produce.

Adding to the mix are 11 food vendors already permitted by the Department of Health to sell refreshments during the fairs which will run from Monday to Friday next week at Utulei.
