The US Navy would like more recruits from American Samoa.
It’s the end of term for the naval recruiter responsible for American Samoa, Ron Kaopuki, and he is here for two weeks with his replacement Iosia Kuria.
The two recruiters are visiting high schools and meeting with parents of young men and women who are considering the US Navy .
Kaopuiki says the Navy is still hiring and has generous educational opportunities.
