Team American Samoa put on a stellar effort in the Junior Prep School championship game tonight.
They fell to Hawaii’s Western All Stars 47-22.
The major standout was Scheyenne Sanitoa, son of Tuala-uta Representative Larry Sanitoa & Deanna Sanitoa, who plays defense back.
The Samoana Shark was responsible for a interception returned for a touchdown which kept American Samoa alive in the early part of the game.
However, turnovers proved to be costly for American Samoa who wasnt able to stay competitive in the 2nd half.
Nevertheless, Head Coach Pati Pati was more than pleased with his squad who didn’t commit any personal foul penalties and gave Hawaii a run for their money.
Team Amerika Samoa returns to the island on Monday night along with the Southseas Broiadcasting Inc. crew covering the JPS Hawaii Classic, General Manager Joey Cummings John Raynar, Sia Atofau and LJ Solo.
