The New Year’s Day weekend was relatively peaceful with fewer arrests than the Christmas holiday.
Reports from the Territorial Correctional Facility say that between New Year’s Eve up to last night only 12 arrests were made…7 were domestic incidents and public peace disturbances and there were five traffic cases including 2 driving under the influence arrests.
KHJ News has received police confirmation that Treasury vehicle #27 was impounded last Wednesday night.
The vehicle is assigned to Tax Office Manager Richard Jimmerson however according to police, another Treasury employee Robert Ho Chee was behind the wheel.
The vehicle was impounded however efforts to obtain information on whether the driver was arrested were unsuccessful.
