Few can argue that Taavaomaalii Petelo is in a league of his own when it comes to Samoan comedy or faleaitu.

At 72, Petelo hasn’t lost his touch and is still as funny as ever.

The comedian, who now resides in California and works for the Office of Samoan Affairs in Carson, is here for a benefit concert to aid the Grace Home Care Program.

Grace Home Care provides care in the home for elderly citizens.

Director Sala Mataalii says there are a lot of services they want to offer but their federal grant doesn’t cover the costs, so they have brought the famous comedian here for a one time show to raise funds for the program.

This will be held July 30th at the Lee Auditorium.

And if Petelo’s brief appearance on V-103 Radio this morning is anything to go by, it will be a night of laughter.

Petelo groupPetelo went from impersonating an old man, to imitating a faifeau’s wife and a child then gave his famous dog bark.
