There've been about 5,000 unfavorable comments in various forums about the reaction of the police officers since the audio/photo's/videos have been posted online.

 

It's very easy to sit behind a computer screen and watch this act of lunacy and say, "well if that were me, this is what I’d do" or "why didn't they do this" Get this... YOU WEREN'T THERE.

 

First of all, the gunshots alone put the cops on the immediate defensive, because they had no guns, they did their best to guess what kind of gun he was using so they could figure out when he ran out of bullets and then subdue the shooter. That's pretty impressive given the level of chaos taking place. Do you think during the war in Afghanistan when a hidden sniper is picking off our boys, they run out and give CPR to a man down, putting themselves at risk, or blindly try and find out where they are located?

 

Again, I am so sick of people commenting as to what they would have done.  You weren't there, so shut it!  If DPS and the Marshall ran away and hid, you'd have a point.

 

Believe me, being in a situation like this in real life is much different than playing Call-Of-Duty on your X-Box, so please stop bashing our gunless police officers, who did their best with what they didn't have.
