Winners of the First Annual Young Writers Storytelling Competition were announced Wednesday at the ASCC Lecture Hall.

Elementary, high school and first year college students showed their vivid imaginations with the contest topic, “My World.”

This was the first local contest organized by the Apia-based Observer, which has sponsored several of these writing competitions in Samoa.

Great support came from local sponsors SSAB Pago and Eveni Carruthers.

SSAB Pago Marketing Manager Princess Auva’a says they were very pleased with the response from parents, teachers and young writers.
