Lt. Governor Lemanu Sialega Mauga, First Lady Cynthia Moliga, Secretary of Samoan Affairs Mauga Tasi Asuega & Mrs Lagi Asuega and Ms. American Samoa Suluga Taliau are some of the notable names on the list of American Samoa’s delegation to the Pacific Arts Festival in Guam.

The Executive Director of the American Samoa Council on Arts, Culture and Humanities, Uta Dr. Laloulu Tagoilelagi is leading the delegation of more than 80.

Also on the list of travelers are members of the Arts Council Board and staff of the Governor’s Office.

When the performing group going to the  Guam festival Faasao Marist High school was first selected it was going to send 70 members.

However about 20 members have been dropped due to space restrictions on the United Air charter that will transport the delegation to Guam.

The high school group includes Principal Victor Langkilde and Chaplain Fr.  Vaiula Kolio plus parents and teacher chaperons.

KVZK-TV is sending four reps to cover the event, two of whom are leaving early to capture the arrival of the delegation in Guam , and Southseas broadcasting which aired two radiothons to help raise funds for the Guam group free of charge, and Samoa News have one rep each.

Uta says the United Airlines plane is arriving on May 19 to pick up the local delegation as well as the group from Samoa and Tokelau.

The charter is scheduled to leave Pago Pago International Airport and fly directly to Hagatna, Guam on May 20.
