A risk analysis will be carried out before the eradication of myna birds gets underway.
Susana Cruz, the invasive species management expert contracted for the project, explained that the analysis will identify other bird species that may be inadvertently harmed.
Ms Cruz explained that the myna bird is rapidly increasing and needs to be stamped out.

The Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources, to which Ms Cruz is attached, is confirming other government agencies which will be involved in the myna eradication effort.
