The Resident Director of the Federal Aviation Administration Sau Taeletoto Smitty Lutu was recognized for his dedicated service to the federal government at a ceremony At Hickam Aik force base Officers club Honolulu last week.
The award was for Excellence in Federal Government , which recognizes service to the SU government and also community contributions of the employee.
Sa’u was unable to attend but his daughter Merimine, accompanied by her husband and children, accepted the award on behalf of her Dad, who has been unwell.
Merimine wrote I was Honored to receive a Federal Government Excellence Award on behalf of my Awesome Father – an Exceptional Federal Employee, Community Contributor but most of all the Coolest Dad ever!
The awards ceremony occurred three days after Sa’u celebrated his birthday.
