You may call it a case of parking space rage.
A couple was treated at the LBJ Hospital for injuries from a bush knife after a man got angry at them for taking a parking space that he was aiming for.
This happened near a dumpster behind the Executive Office Building in Utulei this morning.
Security officers from the Department of Administrative Services who guard the EOB told KHJ News that the couple was the first to get to the empty space near the dumpster. 
But the man who is believed to be a military retiree, felt that he should have taken the spot.
He approached the couple with a bush knife and the man and his wife tried to wrestle it from him.
Some witnesses said this took place while the couples children were in the vehicle.
According to the security officers, during the tussle for the bush knife, the husband’s hand was slashed while his wife sustained cuts to her fingers.
The Administrative Services security guards said momentarily police units arrived at the scene and the man was handcuffed and taken to the Fagatogo police station.
The couple was taken to the hospital where they were treated and released.
