From Guam with compliments of Pacific Energy, tomorrow will be the final performance by our young people at the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts in Guam.

Our delegation will be boarding the United Airways charter for the flight home day after tomorrow.

Our reporter in Guam, Doug Tuigamala,  says since the festival began a week ago, today was the first day of rest for the Faasao Marist group.

This morning at the festival village our delegation lined up and bid farewell to their hosts and other delegations from around the Pacific.

Last night it was an emotional performance for the group in the city of Agat and tears flowed form some of the Samoan residents of Agat when our youth sang their farewell song.

A person that the students have become very close to and has become a motherly figure for our delegation in Agat, is Mrs Norma Ancogo  from the Iuli and Godinet family of Leone.

Mrs. Agat cried as the students hugged her farewell.

A parent who traveled with the high school group, and has been a chaperone Mr. Toeleiu said in an interview with Doug that this has been a once in a lifetime experience not only for the young people but for the adults as well.

He said as the festival draws to a close, they  are thankful for the prayers and well wishes from American Samoa, without which their efforts in Guam will not be successful.

Faafetai faafetai tele lava.
