High School Students Join Future Health Professionals

A territorial wide induction of Health Occupation Students of America-Future Health Professionals (HOSA) will take place at the Lee Auditorium on January 22, 2016 at 2:00pm.

Students from HOSA Chapters in Fagaitua, Leone, Nu’uuli Vocational Tech, Samoana and Tafuna High Schools will be inducted into the HOSA- Future Health Professional Organization in a special ceremony.

Joining them will be members of the ASCC HOSA Chapter and dignitaries, education and health leaders, and families of the students are invited.

Held for the first time, the induction will mark the start of the HOSA American Samoa Association.

It will also recognize HOSA’s beginnings in the territory and the role the American Samoa Area Health Education Center (ASAHEC) has taken to begin the ASCC HOSA Chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Education. ,

Establishing local chapters and a HOSA American Samoa Association will allow eligible students to represent their schools and American Samoa in the annual HOSA Leadership National Conference.

This year the conference will be held in Nashville, Tennessee in June.
