From the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts in Guam brought to you courtesy of Pacific Energy, American Samoa‘s cultural and arts ambassador is not only popular but are receiving gifts of food and water from various sectors of the Guam community.

Doug Tuigamala reports that American Samoa’s sons and daughters in the US Armed Forces stationed in Guam have adopted them, as have families and friends of members of the group.

The Parish of Our Lady in Piti where the delegation is stationed has also shown tremendous interest and love for the group.

Doug says since postings on Facebook about the shortage of water for the festival participants from off island, many residents have taken upon themselves to give water and food for the visitors.

Last night, the pastor of the parish of our Lady which is near the school where American Samoa is staying, brought food and refreshments to our malaga.

Fr. Melvin said they are grateful to be acquainted and enjoy the friendship of the visitors from American Samoa.
