The pre trial conference for a 23-year-old man facing multiple sex charges has been continued for a month after the government requested more time to thoroughly investigate the case.
Rudolf, also known as Liukofu Salisa, is charged with having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
He faces statutory rape, sodomy, sexual assault, deviate sexual assault, first degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child,
The government filed charges against the defendant after the girl’s father learned from her that she had sex with Salisa in July of last year,
The girl was not at home when her aunt returned home and when she showed up she said that she was with the defendant.
It was also alleged that the uncle caught the two having sex in nearby bushes.
The defendant told police that he met the 14 year old at the waterfall near his house and he admitted having sex with the girl on several occasions.
Salisa‘s pre trial conference has been continued to February 19th.
He’s represented by Assistant Public Defender Mike White while Deputy Attorney General Mitzie Jessop is prosecuting.
