The more than 1,200 myna birds put to their graves by myna bird expert Susana Saveedra Cruz and her band of myna trappers have been used in various ways.

Cruz and her volunteers began trapping myna birds four months ago and have carried out their mission with zeal.

Her contract with the Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources is up in August and by then she hopes to make a dent in the myna population which has been a menace in the territory.

The birds are known to eat every kind of fruit and they are noisy.

Cruz says the dead mynas have been recycled  in various ways.
