American Samoa is where one of the satelite camps for the University of Michigan will be held.
Coach Jim Harbaugh, former coach of the San Francisco 49ers will be here with some of his top Samoan and Pacific islander players turned coaches.
Hawaii and Australia are also included in Michigan’s recruiting tour.
The first group of coaches is arriving May 30th and the first football camp will be for high schools.
Mel Purcell who is part of the coalition of departments and agencies that are organizing the camps, says Tony Tuioti is leading the first team of coaches.

A Leone High School football standout has already received an offer but has not committed.
A second team of coaches will arrive late June for another football camp.
Samoa Bowl, the Sports Complex, Youth and Women Affairs and Governor’s Office are hosting the University of Michigan camps.
