According to the Second Quarter Performance report for the Department of Human Resources, there were 83 new short term contracts added to the ASG payroll between January and March of this year.
26 were issued in January, 41 in February and there were 16 in March.
Sort term contracts are those that are less than the standard two-year contracts and can be from one month to six months in duration.
There were also 110 extensions of existing short term contracts: 52 in January, 22 in February and 36 in March.
DHR reports that only 4 two-year contracts were issued: 2 in January , and 2 in March.
There were four emergency hires and four extensions for gubernatorial appointees.
There were also 9 two year contract renewals.
There were three gubernatorial appointments for the second quarter and there were two people hired under the governor’s program for degreed graduates.
900 employees received increments and 41 received pay adjustments.
From January to February there were nine career service employment terminations, 16 resignations and 10 contract terminations
