The National Weather Service has registered record high temperatures since Sunday.

And high temperatures are forecast to continue.

Baqui says it’s going to be very dry over the next 72 hours.

It’s possible that there’ll be rainfall but at a minimal rate as the monsoonal trough moves across the Samoan islands, which is good news.

The last time it was this hot was in 2003.

The public is advised to plan outdoor work and activity for early morning and evening when the temperature is lower, drink lots of water and take the necessary heat precautions as high temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90’s are expected through Saturday.
