The family of the faafafine who was the subject of the Samoa Observer’s front page story which has attracted criticism and condemnation globally, has told media in Samoa that they are suspicious about how she died.

Jeanine Tuivaiki was found dead in a hall of the Catholic Church in Taufusi where she was a member of the youth group.

Jeanine spent several weeks in the territory last year as a member of the Rosary group that visited the local Diocese.

Many who met her and saw her devotion to prayer and The Blessed Mother, are shocked that she would take her own life.
