STP Cannery Donates to “Help 4 Fiji” Drive

Samoa Tuna Processors and staff today presented the local Fijian community a donation for the Cyclone Winston Relief Drive.

STP official Kalili Hunt, on behalf of CEO Don Binotto and General Manager Faafoi Palepua, handed over 100 cases of light meat pouches, plus clothing, canned food, cases of saimin, bottled water and hygiene products that staff collected for victims of the devastating cyclone.

Hunt said STP was very happy to be able to provide help for the people of Fiji who suffered in the disaster.

STP Fiji presThe generous donation was accepted on behalf of the local Fijian Community by Save Sevailagi who expressed gratitude to the owners, management and staff of Samoa Tuna Processors for their unselfish donation.

stp donation for fijiThe Fijian Community plans to fill two containers with all that has been donated by individuals, churches, and businesses and organizations for the Help 4 Fiji drive.

Cash donations will be sent to the Fiji Red Cross.

As of last Saturday the amount of monetary donations was $13,000.

The drive was initiated by a group of young business people who wanted to send immediate assistance to Fiji and the local Fijian Community has joined the effort.

Tomorrow is the last day for the Help 4 Fiji Drive and the public is invited to drop off whatever you want to give at Laufou, Cost U Less and KS Mart.
