High Court Getting ‘Sick & Tired’ of Immigration

The Immigration Office will have to answer to the High Court for another probation case which has apparently slipped past their look out list.

A defendant by the name of Aisea Tagisia  was due in court this morning for a probation view.

However she was absent and Assistant Attorney General Tyler Genzal told the CJ, Tagisia had left the island in January.

When the CJ asked the probation officer, he said he only learned on Wednesday that the defendant was no longer here.

A clearly frustrated Kruse said he was sick and tired of what’s going on at Immigration and told the Assistant AG somebody should take leadership at that office.

Kruse said it appears that even after previous incidents where people on the ban list have gone past Immigration, the head of Immigration is still not doing anything to rectify the problem.

The Chief Justice then ordered Assistant AG Genzal to find out what happened and also to explain the process of how names get on the list and how the list is enforced.

Kruse also asked what the computers at the airport are used for and if they are just there for decoration.

He sternly told the government attorney, the judiciary doesn’t run the jail, that is the role of the executive branch.
