The food stalls at the Flag Day Farm and Trade Fair at Suiga ula o le Atuvasa have been the big earners since the fair opened Monday.

Most of their customers have been government employees from the EOB, and departments in the vicinity like Human and Social Services.

Customers and members of the public visiting the Centennial Building have been lured to the stalls with the aroma of BBQ , which has always been synonymous with Flag Day.

Some of the clothing stalls have also been popular,

Some have had to produce new items because they have run out.

Elei printed fabric have been very popular, probably because the prices are low.

But some of the businesses exhibiting say rain has not helped attract the crowds they were hoping for.

They said people don’t want to shop in the rain and they wish the organizers would move the fair indoors.

More than 30 vendors are exhibiting goods and services: clothing, books, plants, canned and pouch tuna, carvings, jewelry, phones, currency exchange, recreational services, and a variety of food.

The last day of the Trade and Farm Fair on Friday, should be a good one for sales as ASG employees are getting paid, on account of Monday being the public holiday for Flag Day.
